The New England Patriots star quarterback signed an endorsement deal with luxury carmaker Aston Martin.

Brady announced the news on his Instagram account by calling himself "no James Bond", but said he was excited to be involved with the company.

The path to excellence includes fewer than 1,000 cars sold in the US every year, and the model Brady will be selling starts at $211,995.

"The new partnership will also see Brady curate his own take on a modern day Aston Martin, based on the 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S", the company announced in a release.

"Tom is an inspirational leader and athlete who is clearly aligned with our view of Aston Martin", Reichman said in a statement. Financial terms of Brady's deal with Aston Martin were not disclosed. Only 12, the same number as Brady's jersey, will be made and available for the public to buy.

The deal with Aston Martin is a big departure from the vehicle deals that National Football League players typically score. Though Brady may look good behind the wheel, Schwab tells ESPN that it will be hard to tell how much of an impact his million-dollar smile will have on actual sales, given how expensive the cars are to begin with.

The five-time Super Bowl victor, who turns 40 in August, recently told ESPN that he hopes to at least play another five seasons.
