LeBron feels Cavs close to 'turning the switch'

They almost blew an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter, which is sadly becoming a bad habit with the defending NBA Champions. The Indiana Pacers blew it with bad shots and mistakes, but why Monta was out for so long and not Jeff Teague or C.J. Miles is the question that will haunt this game and series.

Rather than Cavs star LeBron James having to use a bunch of energy on defense in order to try and lockdown Pacers star Paul George, Smith has taken the honors of trying to stop PG-13, allowing No. 23 to use more of his energy on the offensive side of the ball. Everything worked on offense. In our locker room, Lance is looked at as one of our leaders. Even the struggling Myles Turner had the dunk of the playoffs over Tristan Thompson. He was scoreless, on 0-for-5 shooting, and IN as a team shot only 19.2 percent (5-of-26) from the field IN the third quarter. The Cavs barely escaped the Pacers in game 1, and yet the game should not have been that close.

The slogan for the Cavs' postseason is "Defend the Land".

On the first and second quarters, both teams were exchanging shots and each of the player's defensive strategy was well-documented. We know Ellis only works in certain situations, and nearly none of those come against the Cavaliers. They built a 50-36 lead with just under six minutes left in the second quarter and went on to lead 74-49 at the half. The two combined for four 3s in the second half. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 37 percent from the field and seven of 27 from the three-point line but they were always fighting a losing battle after falling behind by 19 points going into halftime. "One thing I do know is that we had a huge halftime deficit and were able to come back and win the game". They lacked the same confidence and didn't play with the same emotion as in the first half. The Pacers were quick to find an open man and they punished the Cavs for it with corner 3s and wide-open lanes to the basket. He passed Mark Price for second place in the third quarter. "It takes four rounds to get to the finals and win". Lance Stephenson tripped on a teammate's foot during one of Irving's patented crossover, but the effect was such that the crowd thought Irving had made him fall.

A lot can happen in 10 minutes, though - especially when King James is involved.

Cleveland outscored IN 70-40 IN the second half. So it was no surprise they came out in Game 3 with tremendous energy in front of their home fans.

Despite George making only 1 of 5 field goal attempts, IN led 37-27 after the first 12 minutes, getting nine points from Kevin Seraphin and seven from Thaddeus Young. James has scored at least 30 points with 10 assists in 13 career playoff games, trailing only Jerry West (14) and Michael Jordan (15).

Exhausted after playing the entire second half and willing his team back from a 25-point halftime deficit, LeBron James sat at the podium by himself while being peppered with questions, from his 3-point shooting to the contributions by the bench to admiration for rapper Kendrick Lamar, who James hasn't stopped listening to since he was given the newest album before it came out.
